About

Heather Doyle-Maier brings a wealth of non-profit experience and bookkeeping know-how to every client she serves.

Here’s how.

Heather knows non‑profits.

Virtually all of Heather’s adult working life has been spent in the nonprofit arena, where she has supported organizational missions that range from performing, visual and literary arts, land conservation, farmers’ markets, liberal religion and support for cancer patients and their families.

“Heather embodies all that is needed in a non-profit bookkeeper: understanding of mission, tenacious attention to detail, gentle demeanor, insistence on transparency. I can’t recommend her enough!”

Shawn Sheehy, former Director
Movable Book Society
Chicago, IL

Whether selling tickets for a family folk music concert, stuffing and sealing invitations for a Halloween fundraising gala, setting up a Square account for a co-op gallery, or taking the church Christmas Eve collection to the bank, Heather has done the nitty-gritty, base level work that it takes to run nonprofit operations, finance and development.  That breadth of work continues to inform her responsiveness to variety of non-profit needs.

Heather knows non‑profits inside out.

“Heather is my go-to bookkeeper whenever my organization needs help.  Whether it’s filling in seamlessly for an employee leave or working on high-level projects, she can always be counted on!”

Liz Eckstein, Director of Finance for
Boulder County Farmers Market
Longmont, CO

Heather has devoted her volunteer time to supporting important missions both in schools and in the non-profit world and has actively supported several non-profits with her financial contributions. She has also served on non-profit leadership teams, not only tracking the numbers but contributing salient financial guidance.

Heather believes in non-profits.

“I led a Board of Directors that Heather served on, and I wish I could have her as the Bookkeeper for other non-profits I am associated with!  I can’t say enough about the respect I have for her skills and for her integrity.”

Jean Wyatt, Former President
Focus on Book Arts
Monmouth, OR

Heather knows that nonprofit mission is critical, but so are the little pieces.  Combining training in bookkeeping and accounting with robust organizational skill, a zesty enthusiasm for spreadsheets and tracking, and a passion for transparency and inclusion, Heather has tracked down the pennies, lined up the figures, and added significant value to every non-profit she has worked with.

Heather knows vision and detail both matter.

“Heather stepped in and navigated a complicated accounting situation for our organization with both skill and grace. She not only brings an exceptional level of technical expertise to nonprofit accounting, Heather is both detail-oriented and solutions-driven – a rare combination!”

Jada Hughey, Director of Finance
Redline Contemporary Art Center

Bringing more than 27 years of nonprofit bookkeeping experience to her mission of helping organizations sort out their finances, Heather passionately believes in helping small nonprofits succeed.  Contact her to discuss what your organization might need!
